Hello and thank you for visiting the Gluten Intolerance School. My name is Sarah Patrick and I have hands-on experience dealing with gluten intolerance among family members of multiple generations and at different stages of suffering.
I started this site because I felt a little troubled by two phenomenons I observed while seeking information for myself online. First, many sites seem to be written by people who don’t really know what they’re talking about. I constantly see people confuse the terms wheat allergy and gluten intolerance and greatly simplify the complex phenomenon that is gluten sensitivity and celiac disease. And then when I find legitimate, substantial resources, they’re either out-of-date or they aren’t accessible and useful for the average person seeking information online.
So with the Gluten Intolerance School I am trying to provide comprehensive, up-to-date and accurate information while keeping it accessible and genuinely useful to the average person surfing the web for help on the wide world of gluten intolerance. By putting it in the structure of a school, I hope to help people master their understanding of this complex medical challenge.
Since there are so many misdiagnosed conditions associated with gluten intolerance or conditions that develop as a consequence of undiagnosed problems with gluten, I’ve extended my coverage to include several autoimmune diseases and food allergies, as well as digestive and neurological concerns.
I will cover gluten intolerance from both a health standpoint but also from a lifestyle perspective. I will provide articles about specific areas of gluten intolerance as well as recipes and fun little lifestyle suggestions for my readers. I really hope your time spent with the Gluten Intolerance School helps you improve your life or helps you improve the life of someone you love.
